1 CRORE FOR OSCAR 50 LAKHS FOR CANNES!

The I& B- The Information and broadcasting Ministry of India is on its way make a plan to reward Indian Films who are in competition at Oscars and Cannes. The government decides to give an amount of Rs. 1 crore for those participating for Oscars and RS,.50 lakhs for Cannes. All this was done in order to promote India as a shooting destination.

Year by year , many films take part and runs a race to win in the world’s most prestigious film festivals. It is a hard luck that not all the films gets nominated to finals at the Oscars only few films mark their ways to finals. This also helps the Indian filmmakers to get international recognition which is a big step in the careers of the filmmakers.  Also said by the I&B, that the filmmakers will get full support from the Central for Traveling all over different countries in order to promote their countries and increase tourism.

A special visa category for foreign filmmakers who want to shoot movies in India, will be provided by the I&B, so that there would not be any problem coming for the foreign makers to enhance India’s beauty in their movies. Government is in full support to help Indian films at global fests and the contenders will also receive a cash reward simultaneously.  Looks like an icing on the cake.

However, the proposal needs the approval of the Cabinet before putting in action. External affairs and entertainment industry helps India boost globally and have a reconciliation worldwide. Few of the Indian filmmakers like Anurag kashyap, Mr.motwane ,NeerajGhaywan have bagged the honor in the global events earlier and several times. A great move by the I&B Ministry to fledge support to makers.
