2015 World Cup: Historic Win for India on Pakistan
In what is considered as highest-ever margin in any World Cup match between rivals India and Pakistan, India has defeated Pakistan by a whopping 76 runs in 2015 world cup first match held on Sunday at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.
India, which won the toss, chose batting first and scored 300 runs for the fall of seven wickets in 50 overs. Pakistan that batted second managed to score only 224 for the loss of 10 wickets in 47 hours giving a historic win for India. Virat Kohli, whose contribution to India is significant and led India to victory as he scored century (107 runs), walked away with the ‘Man of the Match’.
