According to reports, Venu recently performed a skit in a TV show on the Gouda community. The Goudas found this offensive and lodged a complaint against the comedian at the OU police station.

People belonging to Goud caste association were hurt by the poor portrayal of their caste in a popular comedy show. Stating that Venu has insulted the community, some people attacked him. He has been rushed to a Apollo hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
