Nagargunaβs Bad Luck
The movie Nirmala Convent starring Roshan Meka, Shriya Sharma, Akkineni Nagarjuna directed by G Naga Koteswara Rao is a typical newbie love story involving a poor boy who falls in love with a rich girl. This is a universal subject topic so going around the entire South Indian Film Industry including Tollywood upward to Bollywood, straight into Hollywood, audiences in the past have watched several of these types of stories movies in their lives. However, this is an exciting theme that people never get bored of resulting in more and more movie makers churning out movies on the same “poor boy rich girl meeting at a common place and falling in love theme”. This theme in fact has done wonders in the rocketed the careers of especially new comers especially in the Indian Audience as they have it for a romantic movie.
Romantic Gloom
Unfortunately enough this movie theme which also stars the senior actor Akkineni Nagarguna did not do as expected. The posters were all over and not to mention the hype created for the movie did not meet the demands or the expectations the movie makers had for the movie ‘Nirmala Convent’.
Bad Omen
The present movie ‘Nirmala Convent’ has taken the existing number of flops in a decade to a surprising half a dozen in which Nagarguna was special appearance including movies like ‘Thakita Thakita’, ‘Jagadguru Aadishankaracharya’, Lakshmi Manchu’s ‘Dongaata’, Anushka’s ‘Size Zero’, Akhil Akkineni’s debut film ‘Akhil’ all of these in the past one decade. It is said that the senior starβs latest venture βNirmala Conventβ is also heading for a doom at the box office collections.
Though people were fazed by Roshan and Shriyaβs on screen chemistry, people are guessing if it is hi bad luck he or is bad omen in his cameo? Or is Nag selecting wrong movie titles which could prove otherwise.
