A Week Before Death, Naidu Wanted To Do It : Anil Kapoor

Dr D Ramanaidu’s death has moved Bollywood fraternity too. The likes of Sridevi, Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor had flown all the way from Mumbai to attend the funeral of Naidu at his very own studios the other day.

Sharing his thoughts, Anil revealed that he has got family image on Bollywood silver screen only after playing lead in Ramanaidu’s Hindi productions. He is the hero of Suresh Productions’ biggest Hindi ventures Insaaf Ki Awaaz, Rakhwala, Jeevan Ek Sangharsh and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain. “Naidu saab ate, lived and died for movies. He greets me as his hero all the time and used to give immense respect as he would ask his own kids to stand up when I enter his room”, said Anil.

“Hearing that he was unwell, last week I flew to Hyderabad to see him. Never know that it is my farewell meeting with him. As he could barely talk, he just mumbled a thing. Do you know what what it is? Naidu saab said ‘Let’s start a Hindi film’, which he always says”, recalled the actor, adding That’s how a true cinema-lover acts”.
