Amala Did Not Demand Alimony From Her Husband In the Light of Filing Divorce
Amala Paul is one of the talented actresses who have portrayed many lead roles till date opposite big stars in different languages. Recently, Amala Paul has declared that she is separating from her husband. Her husband, director AL Vijay has also revealed about their separation.
Amala Paul and her husband AL Vijay appeared before principal family court judge Maria Clete in Chennai and filed a petition for divorce by mutual consent under Section 13(b) of the Hind Marriage Act.
They reached the court in separate cars with their respective families. Saturday is the first day of their mandatory six-month statutory judicial separation period. By the end of six months time period a divorce will be sanctioned on the basis of mutual consent by the court, which ends their relationship as wife and husband.

The judge has adjourned the case to 11th February, 2017 for further proceedings. Both Amala and Vijay have said that there will be no demand of alimony from either side. Amala Paul did not demand alimony from her husband Vijay in the light of filing divorce.
When the duo worked together for Nanna and Thalaivaa movie, they fell in love with each other and got married on June 12, 2014. They were living separately since 3rd March, 2015.
In a statement, Vijay said that ‘The base for any marital relationship is honesty and trust. When that is breached, the very existence of committed relationship becomes meaningless. I relay value the institution of marriage and relationship a lot.’
Amala Paul is one of the established actresses in Tamil industry. She is on a signing spree lately and is signing projects one after the other. Director Vijay is also a talented directed who has delivered wonderful movies that were huge hits at box office.
