Chandrababu’s Painful Reaction on Budget
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and an economist by his own, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has sharply reacted on Union Budget 2015 presented by Narendra Modi-led NDA. Expressing deep dissatisfaction on the Budget, Naidu said, “Budget is quite disappointing and not digestible to us. Although the Finance Commission had already neglected Andhra Pradesh, we pinned hopes on Budget. We had lot of expectations on the Budget. But Centre has dashed all the hopes of people of Andhra Pradesh.”
“Although they had promised to announce a Railway Zone for Visakhapatnam before elections, the recently announced Railway Budget failed to implement it. Also, it’s painful that Centre only allotted Rs 100 Crore to Polavaram Project which is a National Project. Rs 100 Crore is too less for such a grand project,” added Chandrababu.
However, Chandrababu Naidu stated that he’d continue to put pressure on PM Modi and government. He stated that he’ll be soon visiting Delhi and will explain the situation of people to Modi. Naidu recalled, “Modi had promised people of AP during his Triupati visit that he’d help us in building a world-class capital. The onus lies on both Modi and me to fulfil the promises. Andhra Pradesh has been mired in neck-deep troubles. Already Hudhud costed over Rs 61,000 Crore loss to the state followed by drought which pushed farmers into financial woes. All are hoping on Centre to help AP.”
