Singer Chinmayi Sripada and actor Rahul Ravindran are set to tie the knot next month. The couple will get married on May 6. The interesting part of the story is that they will not accept gifts from guests rather they want the invitees to donate the same amount to charity.

Chinmayi and Rahul Ravindran’s marriage will be held in Chennai. They are tying the knot in a hotel in Chennai. It is said to be low-key event, which will be attended by their close friends and family members.

Chinmayi’s mom, Padmhasini said: “A flower bouquet today costs 500 and what happens in weddings is that they are forgotten once the ceremony is done. So, we wanted to make it more meaningful and decided to request guests to donate to this cause instead of spending on gifts. We have also mentioned the same in the invite as well.”

Sources say that Chinmayi-Rahul Ravindran have requested people not to bring gifts but to donate the amount to the 17,000 ft Foundation, a charity organization in Ladakh. The couple doesn’t want the guests to waste money on flower bouquets and make it a meaningful event. The singer and the actor met last year and they fell in love instantly. Like other celebs, they did not take much time to reveal about their relationship. Their families too approved their love and gave nod for the marriage.
