Type Of Movie (Genre) :
Love Story,Drama
Story :
Nithin(Nithin) is a handsome youth who falls in love with Nandini(Mishti). He follows her and becomes good friends with her in the due course of time. By the time his family approves of his choice, Nandini gives him a huge shock and leaves to her home in Europe.
What will Nithin do now ? Why did Nandini ditch him ? Will Nithin be able to win his love back ? To know answers to all these questions, you need to watch the film on the big screen.
Technical Aspects :
Music of the film is a huge plus and all the songs have been shot well. Camerawork in the film is quite good, and all the outdoor locations have been showcased nicely. Dialogues are good and so is the background score. Editing of the film is decent in the first half, but the second half looks a bit disconnected.
Screenplay of the film is just about ok as certain logics go missing in the film. Even with this film, Karunakaran has stuck to his formula of typical love stories and made this film in a very safe zone.
Plus Points :
Major plus point of the film is hero Nithin himself. Roles like these are a cakewalk for him, and he hugely impresses in all departments. He is excellent in his dances and has showcased decent emotions in the second half. Mishti makes an impressive debut. She looks good in both Indian and western looks and performs her important role quite convincingly.
First half of the film is quite entertaining and has good amounts of comedy. The songs, scenes and comedy that is showcased during this part has been designed exceptionally well. Duration of the film is crisp and the makers made sure that the film is quite simple and neat. Naresh, and Nasser play their respective parts well.
Minus Points :
After such an entertaining first half, tempo in the second half drops drastically. First 20 minutes of the second half is boring and has outdated comedy. The gay episode that is showcased during this time is quite irritating. The concept and hero’s approach in the second half lacks clarity. Ali’s comedy track does not create much fun.
Climax of the film is quite cliched and all the scenes building up to the climax are just hurried up. Ending is a bit abrupt and like every other love story, this film is quite predictable once the twist is revealed.
Final Words :
With Chinnadana Neekosam, it is once again proved that love stories are apt for Nithin. His performance, songs and an entertaining first half are basic plus points. On the flip side, lack of enough emotions and a predictable second half spoils the flow of the film. Finally, all those who do not mind routine love stories and want to watch a time pass entertainer this festive season, this film is a decent choice.
