Dhruva is a highly anticipated movie of the year. The film stars Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh in the protagonist roles. It is a remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Thani Oruvan. The movie stars yesteryear actor Aravind Swamy in the antagonist role. The movie is directed by Surrender Reddy and is bankrolled by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts Banner. The movie has opened into the theaters on 9th December, 2016.
Story
Dhruva played by Charan is a sincere cop who chases around the city to get rid of the criminals. Instead of getting rid of small criminals he thinks of getting rid of the main criminal who is behind all these mischievous acts in the city. He then meets a businessman who is also a scientist by profession. He is none other than Aravind Swamy. In the movie, Aravind swamy plays Sidharth Abhimanyu who is a business tycoon. How he gets rid of this criminal scientist and how he manages to stop him from doing illegal business is what forms the rest of the story.
Dhruva Movie Review
Dhruva is a complete thriller. The story and screenplay are the highlights of the flick. Director Surrender Reddy was very loyal and has followed the exact screenplay as that of the original one. The music and BG needs a special mention. Rakul for the first time did a glamorous role and she carried it very well.
Plus Points
- Ram Charan is the yin and yang of the flick. His hard work and dedication will definitely pay off this time. His abs will motivate most of the youth for sure.
- Aravind Swamy chose the perfect role for a Telugu debut after a long time.
- Rakul looked absolutely stunning and she shared a great chemistry with Charan.
Minus Points
- Commercial element is missing.
- Rakul’s character could have been lengthened.
- A better editing could have done.
Technical Aspects
- Technical values are quite high.
- Great camerawork done by P.S. Vinod.
- BG is what takes the movie to another level.
- Director Surrender Reddy as always did a fantastic job.
Final verdict
Dhruva is a visible feast for all Ram Charan and Mega fans. No fan of Ram Charan should miss it. Ram Charan will definitely make lots of new fans with this flick. Best action thriller this year in Tollywood.
