Famous Actress And Dancer Jyothi Lakshmi Passes Away

Former actress and dancer Jyothi Lakshmi is no more.  She took her last breath today morning in Chennai.  As per the reports, she is suffering with some kind of illness for some time now.  She is a very popular dancer back then and starred in almost all the hit movies opposite big heroes.

She is a popular item song dancer who gained name and fame by playing vamp roles in many movies.  She did many notable songs and has debuted into the industry as a child actress.  She also played heroine roles in few movies.

Popular Jyothi Lakshmi is no more

Jyothi Lakshmi made her debut into the industry in 1963 with Periya Idathu Penn.  In 1970, she did main roles in flicks and many popular songs.  She worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films as main lead, vamp and as a dancer for item songs.

She even acted in Hindi films like Pistolwali, Rani Aur Jaani and Jawab.  On entry of her sibling sister Jayamalini her roles in the films as an actress as well as a dancer have reduced gradually.  Even after facing tough competition, she maintained her position and made her name in younger generations too.

Even popular director Puri Jagannadh had named his film Jyothi Lakshmi in which Charmi has donned the role of Jyothi Lakshmi.  Albeit there is nothing much to be related to the actual character of Jyothi Lakshmi, the actress was memorized at the time of movie launch and release.

Jyothi Lakshmi has appeared in more than 300 movies as an actress and also as a dancer.  She also acted in female-oriented movies and is a trained dancer.  It is definitely a huge loss for the industry for loosing such a legendry actresses and dancer, may her soul rest in peace.
