Kaalicharan distribution Rights to Allu Aravind
Producer-distributor Allu Aravind has got the distribution rights of upcoming Telugu political revenge saga “Kaalicharan”, which is coming out Nov 8 after fighting a legal battle for nearly six months.
The film, reportedly, depicts the controversial story of MLA Erra Satyam and its release was stalled after not getting the green signal from the censor board.
“The film has been ready for a long time now, but the last six months were difficult for us. It was stuck in the court for nearly six months because the censor board felt that the film might provoke controversies. I’m glad we have cleared all the hurdles and it is coming out Nov 8,” the film’s director Sri Praveen told.
“Allu Aravind has agreed to distribute the film which is not based on the life of any politician. It’s a realistic story set in 1980s Mahaboobnagar (in Andhra Pradesh),” he added.
The original trailer of the film, which featured a character named Erra Satyam, had to be removed from YouTube as directed by the court a few months back.
The film stars Krishna Chaitanya, Chandini and Kavita Srinivasan in important roles.
