Nagarjuna previously done a devotional film under K. raghavenra Rao direction and it became a huge success. He done Annamayya in the year 1997 and it is a Telugu biographical-devotional film which is produced by V. Doraswamy Raju under VMC Productions banner. That film turned out to be a huge hit with 100 days run in 42 centreβs. This film is dubbed in Hindi and titled as Tirupathi Sri Balaji.
Now, Nagarjunaβs upcoming project Om Namo Venkatesaya which is directed by K Raghavendra Rao is making a big noise in the trade. ETV bid high for ONV
As per the reports it is said that this movie satellite rights are taken at a whooping price of 12.5 crore. It is the highest ever price for a Nagarjunaβs film till now, ETV bought all the rights of this movie Om Namo Venkatesaya at a huge amount of record breaking price. ETV bought the Annamayya rights of this combination Nagarjuna and K. Raghavendra Rao and it is still draws the high TRP ratings and it is said that it might be the reason for ETV to big the big amount for the satellite rights of Om Namo Venkatesaya.
It is a long time that ETV bought the satellite rights of a popular film and it is said that the ETV network stayed away from the competition as it was against their policies to spend huge amounts for the satellite rights of films. But the chairman Ramoji rao made this one as an exception for Om Namo Venkatesaya as they believe that it could be another classic movie like the previous one Annamayya.
