Star actress Shruti Haasan cheered on at the British alternative rock band Dinosaur Pile-Up concert. The performance was part of the two-day NH7 weekender in Hyderabad. Shruti recently collaborated with this music band. The actress packed up her shoot and attended the concert with star T-town friends Rana Dagubati and Lakshmi Manchu. A source said, “To celebrate their collaboration, the band extended a warm invitation to Shruti to attend the event. Despite her hectic schedule, she was glad she got some time out to be able to watch the band perform on her home turf.”
Shruti Singing Career
The actress who has done roles in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil is one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema. She has also won Filmfare Awards. At the tender age of six Shruti sang her first ever song which was Ilaiyaraaja’s composition in her father’s movie Thevar Magan. She won the critics’ praise who said she has a potential to be a great singer. Her singing debut was with the Hindi movie Chachi 420. She sang a duet with her father Kamal Haasan who directed the movie. In the movie Hey Ram, Shruti and Kamal sang a duet in Hindi and Tamil for the bilingual title version Rama Rama.
Unnaipol Oruvan
Shruti Haasan was the young and beautiful music composer for Unnaipol Oruvan a Tamil movie which released 2009. Shruti is the vocalist in alternative rock band The Extramentals. On October 16th, 2015 Dinosaur Pile Up’s 3rd album ‘Eleven Eleven’ released via SO Recordings. It was announced earlier this year in May that Shruti would collaborate with the Brit band in the forthcoming album. She went on trips to the UK to jam with the band guitarist and lead singer Matt Bigland with drummer Mike Sheils and bassist Jim Cratchley.
