Trolls force Trisha to De-Activate Twitter Account

Trisha Krishnan is a beautiful star who has acted in several hit movies. She not only has a massive fan following in the South Indian Film Industry but also on micro-blogging site Twitter. She has 3.2 followers on twitter. Unfortunately on Sunday, she had to deactivate the twitter account temporarily. Β On Sunday, she made a statement on the traditional Tamil sport called β€˜Jallikattu.’ In this sport the Tamil people play with cattle in a rough manner during the festival of Pongal. The angry protestors also mobbed her when she was shooting for her movie at her shooting location due to her statement.

The actress supports the group People for Ethical Treatment of Animals and hence showed her support for animals. On her official Twitter the Tamil Actress tweeted, “I’m a Tamilian and I support @peta @petaindia cruelty to animals no matter how old the traditions are is no justification. #BanJallikattu.” After this she was trolled cruelly on Twitter and the bold star did not stop there. She replied, “Disrespecting a woman and her family is Tamil culture? You should be ashamed to call yourself a Tamilian or even speak about Tamil culture.” Β The star even lodged a police complaint that her Twitter account was hacked.

Kollywood supports Trisha

The well known star Kamal Haasan supported her stating that she has only expressed her views and opinions on the sport. Even the Kollywood film fraternity came to her support that she should not be a target. However, the trolling on social media continued. Finally the star was forced to deactivate the official Twitter account. PETA became the Tamil people’s enemy after the organization obtained a Supreme Court order against the sport of Jallikatu. This rough sport is played with animals during Pongal.
